FLOATING IN A SEA OF CONFUSION

To live a soothing life would seem like a crime,
When a man is rightly standing the test of time.
Everything would be unexciting and unfavorable,
And a new place for refuge would not be discoverable.
Forcing one's way out of solitude may further fuel such grievances,
But at this point, tranquility cures whatever disturbances.
What really bothers the mind, one may not know,
And as a result, it makes one's miseries grow.
Laughter in despair would seem like hopeless tears,
As we're troubled by pains and absorbed by fears.
Sorrowing over what has carted away our happiness,
Like this, we express our grief in loneliness and emptiness.
We would be disturbed by stories of no characters,
Of no plot, no themes but some withering disasters.
Such tales that kept us wandering like a lonely cloud,
We arose, staggering with nothing to make us feel proud,
All at once, we saw death trying to walk away on snaky paths,
Rumbling and roaring as some creatures were turning under sea and earth.
Life is characterized with many ups and downs,
Fate that makes few act like kings, makes others, like clowns.
People would envy us based on our illusory appearances,
Not knowing we hide our worries in our fanciful countenances.
Sometimes, we storm the streets looking for what we never lost,
Because life could not gift us with a soul we could deeply trust.
But this troubling time will surely pass,
When we shall joyfully break this impasse.
Our bereaved minds will cease to suffer,
At a time when the storm would have been over.
So, when everything began to fall in place,
People would contemplate if it's really God's grace.
