2023: Wahab Issa Campaign Organisation Inaugurates Members

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ilorin East and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa has inaugurated his Campaign Council with a call for massive votes for him and other candidates of the party in the next month's general elections.

It would be recalled that Hon. Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa of the People's Democratic Party in Ilorin East and South Federal Constituency had earlier constituted a 1,300-man campaign council which comprised 20 Directorates, 80% of which were equally youths and women moderately selected across all the 23 wards in the two local government areas and headed by Hajia Aisha Bodunrin Ibrahim. 

Inaugurating the council today in Oke-Oyi/Oke-Ose/ Alalubosa and Ibagun wards in Ilorin East Local Government, Hon. Wahab urged members to be strategic, committed, civil and law-abiding in the discharge of their responsibilities in their various wards, before, during and after the polls. 

The candidate who was ably represented by Hon. Amuda Yusuf Olokode condemned the leadership style of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and across the country, alleging that the nation had been plunged into numerous problems without solutions.

Also in his address, Alh. Suleiman Alao said what is required is the unalloyed commitment of party members to winning the general election come next month so that the PDP can revamp the battered economy of Nigeria, urged supporters to go out to mobilise support for the party and all its candidates. 

“We have been handed a very strategic task, a very challenging assignment, but by the special grace of God, it is not insurmountable, we shall succeed,” he said.

The inauguration of the Wahab Issa Campaign Organisation (WICO) will be done ward-by-ward so that every member of the council will be reached and charged with the obligation to give the opposition parties a run for their money and ensure a resounding victory for Hon. Wahab and other candidates of the party.

A Policy Analyst and Youths Advocate, Mudashir Bolakale Elelu (MBE) have charged electorates to take their destiny into their hands by enrolling and collecting their Permanent Voter Cards, PVC, to be able to vote in the 2023 general elections. Elelu, shared the public service messages today while receiving youths stakeholders from Alanamu and Ajikobi constituency at his Ilorin residence, explaining that PVC is the only weapon that residents could use to vote for credible leaders.
