Kwara 2023: Take Charge Of Your Destiny, Collect Your PVCs — Elelu Tells Constituents
A Policy Analyst and Youths Advocate, Mudashir Bolakale Elelu (MBE) have charged electorates to take their destiny into their hands by enrolling and collecting their Permanent Voter Cards, PVC, to be able to vote in the 2023 general elections.
Elelu, shared the public service messages today while receiving youths stakeholders from Alanamu and Ajikobi constituency at his Ilorin residence, explaining that PVC is the only weapon that residents could use to vote for credible leaders.
According to Elelu, “We have started mobilizing our people to get their PVCs. We urge them to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission to collect their PVCs at the council Secretariat. It is important, that’s the avenue to partake in the elections ”.
“I also believe that a good number of our youths who turned 18 years only after the 2019 elections will be qualified to vote for the first time in 2023. We are embarking on this initiative to mobilise them to register so that they can discharge their civic responsibility and help install a good government at all levels during the 2023 elections,” he said.
“We cannot afford to leave the mobilisation of voters to register and collect their PVCs to INEC alone. This is the duty of all and that is why we have taken it on as our social responsibility,” he said.
He appreciated members of APC and constituents of the Alanamu/Ajikobi constituency for the confidence they have been reposing in him right from time, extolling their commitment to the emergence of credible leadership in the constituency.
Elelu, who is an experienced Estate Surveyor and Valuer noted that complaints on representatives' performance will be futile if constituents do not register and vote in elections, stressing further that ‘likes’ in Social Media platforms will not be counted in the elections except to cast votes, which is only possible when voters are duly registered.
